What a CRAZY month!
And, How the Grinch Stole Christmas Fabric is here!

Yay!  How the Grinch Stole Christmas fabric is on the website!  Finally, something fun is happening....I haven't blogged in about a month.  It has been a c-r-a-z-y month around here! First, we finally got my mom moved back to her home, well her new home, in Alabama.  She was with me for 3 months after the tornado destroyed her home.  It was a very difficult time for her. She was able to get a new place, and she and her dogs are now happily settled again. Then Rachel went off to her first bandcamp. She decided that it would be o.k. to march a little while without socks, because the socks didn't look pretty with her shoes. She got several blisters, which got infected, so I made two trips out to the camp to get her for doctor's visits.  The night that she came home from bandcamp, our house was burglarized! Someone came through the window during the night! Our dogs started barking and scared them away, but not before they took my purse off of my kitchen table! That has been a total nightmare, just trying to replace everything that I carried in my purse! But, we do now have an alarm system in our home.  It's just not the kind of thing that ever happens in a nice, small town.  Just after the burglary, we noticed that Joshua's hand look strange.  He suffers from occasional eczema flare-ups, but this one didn't look right.  He was diagnosed with an MRSA infection in his hand.  If that wasn't bad enough, he then came down with what turned out to be Fifth's Disease (usually a mild childhood illness).  He got the very rare manifestation of blisters covering his hands and feet....then the skin peeled from his hands! It took 7 doctor's visits over two weeks to figure out what was going on with him!  We are very grateful that it turned out to be nothing serious, and his hands and feet are now almost back to normal.  He is at school today.  Rachel is at school today, too! It is her first year of high school.  Tonight is her very first football game. She is a baritone player in the marching band, so we are looking forward to seeing her marching band half-time show tonight.  Wow! Life is back to normal, but what a weird three weeks it has been! Please forgive me if I missed your call or if your order came a little later than expected. I am thankful that we are all back on track now and everyone is healthy and happy.  Now I can enjoy my new fabric! Yay!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas fabric collection is just adorable! It so takes me back to the pre-VCR days when we would anxiously await the once-per-year broadcast of the tv show.  The fabric perfectly depicts Dr. Seuss' artwork from the book.  We have the entire fabric collection plus a fat quarter bundle. Wouldn't an apron made from this make a great gift for a teacher? (or maybe a great gift for myself!)
